Friday's Finds

1. Starts with C
2. Week's Favorite
3. INSIDE

The first two will be the same, except we’ll work our way through the alphabet. The second can be a favorite image or activity from the week. The third will be different each time.
Friday Finds

January 2016 - Tlaquepaque (Spanish pronunciation: [tlakeˈpake] Mexico

Starts with C - "La Catrina has become the referential image of Death in Mexico, it is common to see her embodied as part of the celebrations of Day of the Dead throughout the country; she has become a motive for the creation of handcrafts made from clay or other materials, her representations may vary, as well as the hat." – J.G. Posada
Catrinas are an obsession of mine.

Week's Favourite - I'm going with a pair here - his and hers washroom signs. Not that they are great photos but they make me smile.

Inside - inside one of the many art galleries.

  1. I had never heard of Catrina. Very interesting, and I can see why you like her. Cute his/her signs. Looks like an amazing museum to visit. Thanks so much for joining in Friday's Hunt.

  3. La Catrina... so that's the term for those things.

  4. Colorful! Now, I must fund out why La Catrina is the reference point for the Day of the Dead. Maybe then the skeletal stuff won't be so spooky to me.

  5. At least the his/hers signs were easy to figure out, I've been in restaurants where one really has to think about it. ;-)
